  • I visited Gokak falls with my family. It is very beutiful place to see and enjoy the nature. I have few suggestions as under- 1) There should be boards in English, Marathi ( as it is very near to Maharashtra and Maharashtrians freqently visit Gokak) along with Kannad. 2) Roads leading to Gokak are in very bad state. They should be maontained properly. 3) We noticed some fecal matter near falls. Villagers might be using it as toilate. This should be stoped at once.

  • We arrived in Goka by bus from Hubli, instead of arriving in Gokarna! Someone said yes this is the local bus to Gokarna and on the road the conductor shouted all the time: Goka, Goka..So we thought this is short for Gokarna.. A little naïf probably. The road from Hubli to Gokak was, for us,people from the Netherlands/Europe,never a dull moment. The landscape was wonderfull and very interesting. Once we arrived on the busstation we discovered not to be in Gokarna(!).Everybody was so friendly and curious. We went to hotel Poornima (near the busstation) where the manager was very very helpfull to us, we'll never forget him. He spoke very good English. If we'll be in the neighborhood once again, we'll surely stay overnight. If he might be reading this or someone who knows him, please let him know we,man and wife 50 plus, remember him!
  • Alongwith gokak Maradimath also has good landscape, naikwadi is my native place, now i am in pune.
