Darab (Persian: داراب, Originally: Darabgerd) is a city in Fars province, southwest of Iran. Legend ascribes the foundation of the city to Darius I of Persia some 2500 years ago, hence its name Darabgerd (literally "Darius-fort").

There are various remains of antiquity in or around this city, the most important of which is known as the citadel of Darius, southwest of the city, and consists of a series of earthworks arranged in a circle round an isolated rock. Another monument in the vicinity is a gigantic bas-relief, carved on the vertical face of a rock, representing the victory of the Sassanian King, Shapur I of Persia over the Roman emperor Valerian, 260 A.D.
