Rafsanjan (Persian: رفسنجان) is a city in Kerman province, Iran. It had an estimated population of 134,848 in 2005. Rafsanjan is Iran's center of pistachio cultivation. It is also a major center of carpet production even though the rugs are sold as Kermani rugs rather than Rafsanjani ones. Another large employer is the nearby Sarcheshmeh copper mines.

  • Hi, do you know that in Australia/Melbourne how much is the price of 1kg of pistachio? at 28/march/2008 the price is 15 to 20 Australian dollar(very expensive but Iranian pistachio is the best Quality here and the best taste it has.
  • رفسنجان اسامی مختلفی دارد که بیشتر در ارتباط با ذخایر زیر زمینی آن نامگذاری شده‌است. مانند رفسنگان یا رفسنگ به معنای مس که عربی شده آن رفسنجان است. از دو کلمه رفسنگ به معنای مس و کان به معنای معدن . این شهر قدمتی دیرینه دارد و باغ‌های پسته آن مشهور است. مردم اين ديار سختكوش و خونگرم و مومن هستند و بزرگترين جنگل مصنوعي جهان رو در دل كوير ايجاد كرده اند
