3.It started its journey as "GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE,JABALPUR with the punch line"ONWARDS ON WINGS" from 7th July 1947 onwards with 4 ENGG Branches namely CIVIL, MECHANICAL,ELECTRICAL,TELECOMMUNICATION ENGG,
4.It is having 7 branches of Engg. from 1998 onwards from that time onwards it is declared as "JABALPUR ENGG COLLEGE, JABALPUR".
5. This institute produced many skilled ENGRS who all r playing their much important roles in their ORGANISATION/DEPTT. with full confidence and having specialities.
6.Many ENGRS from this intitute are PRINCIPALS, PROFESSORS, LECTURERS,ADVISORS,DIRECTORS,UPSC selected OFFICERS, etc many more achievements and glorious story cannot be described in the written form since it will took many pages for describing about it.
7.In 1962 it got the chance of being INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY but kanpur was declared instead of this institute, in 2003 it again got the chance of being the IIT but again due to some reason (probably political reasons)it is left as it is.
8.If any NIT/regional engg college will be established in M.P. then JEC,JABALPUR will be the next NIT/REGIONAL ENGG COLLEGE of M.P.
9.one of the good & Oldest engineering college in India.

10. JEC(GEC) organized the "INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOFT COMPUTING AND INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS" which was mainly based on the fuzzy logic technology which is having the boom in many fields in the coming era.

  • The history of JEC does not require confirmation.It has produced many engineers of international repute during last 50 years.Many States of India did not have even a single Engineering college in 50s and 60s.Mr Stink is ignorant of facts and suffers from low self esteem too.

  • College has a high voltage lab which is rare in other engineering college. The college has very good geotech lab.Near its play ground there is a old lake(now mercy land) which is ending portion of the ancient coal belt.This is the college which exehibit name of topper of the college pass out.
  • College should decide to hold a meet of college alumni. They should also develop a separate site to enable past students to come in touch with each other. This will also benefit the college as past students may prove to be support structure in many ways.
