One of two Chromeshield plants located in Windsor. Owned by Flex N Gate, the 80,000 sq. ft. plating operation applies chrome and nickel plating to rear bumpers for Chevrolet and GMC vehicles. A second Chromeshield plant, located at Hanna Street East and McDougall Street, polishes the bumpers.

The original building was built in 1917 for the Detroit based Burroughs Adding Machine Co., which later became Burroughs Bussiness Machines. Burroughs occupied the site until 1970. After several years of multiple tenant occupancy the buildings were acquired by Rustshield, a Windsor based plating operation in 1979. The Rustshield operation was sold to Flex N Gate in 1998 and renamed Chromeshield.
