The village of Goleshovo is located in South-West Bulgaria and is part of Municipality Sandanski (Blagoevgrad District). It is situated in nature reserve "Ali Botush" (The boot of Aly) in the Slavynka mountain. There are tracks from ancient live near by. There are 2 churches in the village of Goleshovo - "Sveti Dimitar" and "Uspenie Bogorodichno".

Peyo Yavorov's museum collection is located in the village of Goleshovo, in the Hadjisimeon barn, where on April 23, 1903 the revolutionary poet Peyo Yavorov with 8 Chetniks was surrounded by a large number of Turkish soldiers. The nine men manage to escape miraculously.
