Farmhouse c. 1860 which was purchased by Dr. Frank Lusk Babbott, Jr. from the heirs of George Hazard Robinson in 1920. Babbott was a grandson of Charles Pratt; he worked as a pediatrician where he went on to become a founder of Brooklyn Medical College (now SUNY Downstate Medical College). In 1931, he rented the house to Eugene O'Neill where he completed his play Mourning Becomes Electra.

In 1936, the home was purchased by Henry Sturgis Morgan Sr {financier, industrialist} who converted the home into an English Country mansion by architect Alexander P. Morgan. Henry Morgan served as founder of the Morgan Stanley investment banking firm, director of Conecticut Life Insurance Co., Aetna Insurance Co., and General Electric Co. He also served as chairman of the board of the Morgan Library, trustee of Harvard University and Carnegie Institution of Washington, and vice president of the board of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. During WWII, the farm group was used to by the United States Army Signal Corps to store supplies for their unit which was being trained on his estate. In 1960, Morgan sold the estate and subsequent owners have enlarged the home as well as subdivided the property.
