The Kumsong Tractor Factory was opened in November 1958 and produces tractors and agriculture technologies, including the Chollima-2000 model tractor. The facility has the capacity to produce 30,000 tractors annually. General-Secretary Kim Jong-il visited the factory in January 2009, as part of his tour of the domestic North Korean economy.
