The Ch'ŏllima Steel Complex produces steel and rolled steel with a capacity to produce 760,000 tons of steel annually. It uses iron ore from Yonwon, Chongdong and Kaechon mines. The Ch'ŏllima Steel Complex is a famous industrial area in the DPRK, because of its use in biographies and propaganda, named as it is after the post-war Ch'ŏllima Movement.
