A small rural town along the South Eastern Railway, connecting to Rourkela towards east and Jharsuguda towards west and roads going to Kuchinda.

This place is famous for red hot chilly, also called Bamda Mirch all over India. It has Asia's biggest Sisal (Agave sisalana, also called Murba/Murga in local laguage) farm. Spanning over 16 Gram Panchayat, Bamra is one of the largest Block in Orissa. It has high forest coverage with many forest product adds to livelihood of local people; also the nearby growing towns like Jharsuguda is causing rapid urbanisation. Info by Sarthak

  • the comment made by frens r not sufficient about my village bamra the siasl(used as jute) farm of BAMRA is one of the largest in ASIA It also has a hill which is exclusively used for mountaineering. it serves as a pathway for places like Kuchinda ,deogarh. sundargarh, the climate,soil, everything is just too good and life supporting
