MD Route 210, Indian Head Highway, Indian Head, Forest Heights
North of I-95 & I-495 are partial cloverleaf interchange ramps with a signal from southbound I-95 & I-495 (inner loop) to MD-210 and Bald Eagle Rd (Exit 3) and a loop ramp from northbound MD-210 to southbound I-95 & I-495 (inner loop). South of I-95 & I-495 is a folded diamond interchange with MD-414 (Oxon Hill Rd) constructed in 2007, which provides indirect access from northbound I-95 & I-495 (outer loop) to northbound MD-210 (Exit 3B) and southbound MD-210 to northbound I-95 & I-495 (outer loop) through signals. In addition, there are flyover ramps constructed in the late 1980s between MD-210 and I-295, including one connecting to northbound I-95 & I-495 (outer loop) from northbound MD-210, which would be expanded in 2008 to provide access to the southbound express lanes of I-95 & I-495.
Prior to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge reconstruction project in the 2000s, this interchange, when first constructed in 1961, was a full cloverleaf with the movements from northbound I-95 & I-495 (outer loop) to southbound MD-210 (Exit 3A) and northbound MD-210 to northbound I-95 & I-495 (outer loop) provided by MD-414 (Oxon Hill Rd) at signalized ramps on both sides of MD-210's signalized intersection with that route, which included a signalized double right turn from westbound MD-414 to northbound MD-210 constructed in the early 1990s. When the connector ramps between I-295 & MD-210 were constructed in the late 1980s, including the current flyover from northbound MD-210 to northbound I-95 & I-495 (outer loop), the ramp from MD-414 to that direction of the Beltway was removed prior to reconstruction in the mid-2000s with the intersection between MD-210 & MD-414 being relocated southward as the current folded diamond interchange between the two routes was being constructed.
