It is not a plot, it used to be a pond till about 1970. Short sighted officials filled it with municipal waste and converted it into a park. The Gurudham Nagril Samiti was given the charge of its upkeep and it was developed into a lush green place with lots of trees and grass. The officials in connivance with the land mafia have divested its charge from the Samiti and it is now up for grabs.

  • This used to be a big pond till about 1970, was filled with municipal waste by the shortsighted officials and converted into a park, resulting in water-logging on the adjascent road apart from other losses. Gurudham Nagrik Samiti (the local residents' body) used to look after the upkeep of the park and it had been developed into a nice green place, full of trees - big and small. Land mafia has been trying to grab the place, in connivance with the officials, and the Gurudham Nagrik Samiti has been divested of its charge. The place is now marooned and up for grabs - do not know who this Khan is, trying to use the internet too!
