According to David "Honeyboy" Edwards, legendary bluesman Robert Johnson died on August 16, 1938 at 109 Young Street in Greenwood MS, after drinking moonshine poisoned by the husband of a woman Johnson had been flirting with earlier in the day. The actual house Johnson died in is long gone, replaced by other dwellings. Please respect the privacy of current owners.
