Sudzhuk spit is a natural monument (together with Суджукской lagoon, on the North-East of the Black sea in the city of Novorossiysk, a popular holiday destination. Суджукская spit (together with Sudzhuk lagoon) was due to surf the activities of the sea waves and the accumulation of marine sediment. When lowering of the sea level, which happened 1500-2000 years ago, in the surf zone was flat surface of the deeper parts of the sea bottom. Then the waves began to drifts towards the shore. In this zone, where after забурунивания the energy of the waves fell significantly, sediment partially delayed at the bottom, and gradually formed a powerful underwater shaft. While further development of the process (sea level rise) vertex shaft appeared on the surface of the sea narrow alluvial strip, which is quite far from the shore and is called the waterside bar. KOs is located in the South-West of the Tsemess Bay and consists of two interlocking branches, between which lies the lagoon area of 30 hectares. Included in the city limits of Novorossiysk (the nearest street - Lenin Avenue).
