USCGC Aspen is a 225ft Juiper Class Seagoing Buoy Tender serving the US Coast Guard's 11th District, Sector San Francisco and homeported at USCG Station San Francisco.
With her Area of Responsibility stretching from the Oregon border to San Diego, the Aspen is assigned to maintain over 100 floating and fixed aids-to-navigation, as well as 13 NOAA bouys which provide all mariners with weather and sea condition information. These bouys are monitored at the National Buoy Data Center.
