Shandoor is popular in the world because there is the world's most highest POLO-GROUND, In summer of every year there is arranged a POLO-FESTIVAL By Northern Areas Administration of Ghizar/Gilgit. So tourists and other local praticipants of the Country comes here to enjoy in this beautifull place of Ghizar, to be entertain and excited from the Polo Match of Northern Areas "Gilgit" Versus Chitral NWFP.

  • shandur pass belongs, technically, to chitral, and not to gilgit. but for the sake of general info, it's almost in the center of chitral and gilgit. takes about 8-10 hrs from chitral, through a very very difficult terrain. and some 7 hours max from gilgit through a very comfortable and well built route.
