Bagrote Valley is the nearest valley from gilgit. It is 40 k.m. far from GilGit City.Around the Valley, three Great Mountains of karakoram region,Rakaposhi peak,Diran peak and Dubani peak are exist.
Bagrote the historical place of Gilgit,the real culture and tradition of gilgit is found there. it is the most interesting and beautiful place for tourists. Every year hundreds of tourists visit there, here a hotel "BAGROTE SARAI HOTEL AND RESTAURANT"

  • Bagrot is one of the beautifull valleys around Gilgit(Capital of Northern Areas Pakistan)at a distance of about 40 Km NE. It is situated amid mighty Karakorums whose some of the legendary peaks soar up to 7788 metres asl. Bagrotis are considered to be some of the most polite and simple people of the region. Their staple diet is wheat,maize and fruits. Their extraordinary hospitality is very much appreciated by all visiters. Bagrot is a heaven for alpine trekkers that offers spectacular and panoramic views all along the trails. Kotwal lake, situated between Bagrot and Haramosh valley is one of the spectaular panoramic view poit at an altitude of about 4500m.

  • Bagrote valley is situated at 20km NE from GILGIT city. it is considered as the nearest valley to Gilgit. One of the beautiful valley hosting (4)four famous highest peak like as Rakapooshi, Diran peak, Phapuraj and Bilchar Dobani & many other high peaks. It is pionted out that Rakapooshi is situated in Bagrote not in Hunza whose name is derived from a family Raki and pooshi. Raki was for-father of a family known as Rakinay is settled in Bulchi Bagrote and pooshi means peak. It is said by elders that whenever a person of Raki family dead then load voice from this peak was heard. furthermore the boundary of Bagrote is much more then seen in this mape. Two major glaciers Hinarchi Glacier and Shak-chilili Glacier and many small glaciers like as Yooney, Boonphar, Gutoomi and Barring Glaciers etc.
