Minneapolis−Saint Paul International Airport is a joint civil-military public use airport which serves the five-state upper Midwest region of the United States. MSP operates as the 3rd largest hub for Delta Airlines, which took over operations of MSP-based Northwest Airlines in 2010 and presently ranks as the 15th busiest airport in the United States and 30th busiest in the world.

MSP has two terminals to handle its commercial passenger aviation operations; the Lindbergh Terminal (Terminal 1) houses Concourses A-G while the newer Humphrey Terminal (Terminal 2) houses Concourse H. The airport is also home to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport Joint Air Reserve Station and the 934th Airlift Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command & 133rd Airlift Wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard
