  Achhar vilage is a village in mau town. The vilage is divided into many pura(basti). People says that it had 52 puras(bastis) But only 3 or 4 basti I can describe here which are known to me. Gulariya This is the biggest basti in the village. This is the part of achhar village. This is a Yadav basti. Babu ka pura This is another basti of achhar village. Primarily named because two of the bigger gharana of land lords lives here. Third one lives near Ghugha. Bharouti This is another basti where bhar( a cast) lives here. Chatti This place is known as chatti. Chatti is a term used for small market in this part of the world. Ya, if MG Road is to Bangalore then Achhar Chatti is to Achhar. The cast which live here is called Teli(actually Tel mean oil in hindi, so teli are the people who were merchant of oils) , so some time this place is also known as 'Teliyon ka ghar' Sagada This is another basti in this village Ponds in the village are bowli badaka pokhara Sagada Ghuggha Kotiya Its just a knoll (not even). lil high terrain. but when u go on top of it, u will good view of achhar village. one of the intresting place in achhar. Ya its hight reduced since i am seeing it. Primary School This is government established primary school in the village. Unfortunately this became the school for poor people. The condition is too pathetic. Thank god, lots of private schools are getting opened in the village which is bringing competition and henceforth the betterment of education standard. Temples in the village are Shiwala and Kali Temple.
