The Tomorrowland Expo Center currently hosts "Star Wars Launch Bay" (featuring Star Wars exhibits, meet & greets, and merchandise) on the first floor (the former Carousel rotating theater).

The building originally opened in 1967 as the Carousel of Progress, a rotating theater that moved to Magic Kingdom in 1973. America Sings would be the next attraction to open here, though the upper level was used for the SuperSpeed Tunnel for the PeopleMover attraction (that became the "World of Tron" portion in 1982). In 1988, America Sings closed and the building was unused for a decade (with storage and offices) while PeopleMover continued to use the upper level until its closure in 1995. Innoventions, a version of the Epcot attraction, opened here in 1998, taking the whole building but gutting what was left of the rotating theater. It contained several technological exhibitions, including the House of the Future and a display of Honda's ASIMO robot, until its closure in 2015.
