The second theme park to open in the Disneyland Resort, constructed on the site of the original Disneyland parking lot. Opened in 2001 after "WESTcot" failed to happen. In the late 2000s, it underwent an extensive renovation to combat the problems of the original (including finding a unified theme and giving it the "Disney" flavor the original lacked). It also gave it a name change: originally it was called "Disney's California Adventure Park".

  • Before people had the idea of DCA, they were in the process of making a western version of Walt Disney World's Epcot, but it was going to be named WestCOT.
