Devínska Nová Ves (Hungarian: Dévényújfalu, Dévény-Újfalu; Croatian: Devinsko Novo Selo; German: Theben-Neudorf) became a part of Bratislava in 1972. One of the most important prehistoric sites in Slovakia can be found there. Archeological findings give evidence about the Paleolith, Neolith, Iron Era, Roman Period, the Great Moravian Era. The village itself was founded in the 14th century and belonged to the Devín castle. In the 16th century it was colonised by Croatians.

  • It is great place to life. Mainly for young families. I think, fifty percent peole from here can speak english (anywal little). Approximately one third inhabitants are aborigines. And only one tenth leod which be born here will remove. It is more new sport centres, schools and other institutes in Bratislava. Centrum is only ten minutes far from DNV. And there are many natural maiden places.
