Vajnory (former name: Prača/Pračany; Hungarian: Pozsonyszőlős, formerly: Prácsa; German: Weinern) is a part of Bratislava known for its vineyards. This community is also known for its abundant folklore. The first written mention of the village dates to 1237. It was made an official borough of Bratislava in 1946. As for the historical monuments there should be mentioned the Gothic Roman-Catholic Church from the 14th century, which was rebuild in the Baroque style, and the Museum of Vajnory folk house.
