Hotnishki Waterfalls ("Hotnishki Vodopadi") near Hotnitsa Village is one of the few places where you could spend all your life just watching. Once you visit this place you will never disagree with the beauty of Bulgarian nature. Situated 15 km from Veliko Tarnovo City it will show you one amazing play of the water and rock. After you cross a little wood bridge you will be surprised by an incredible view.

To get here, from the European road E85 in Samovodene village, go on the road III-504 and follow the road indicator to Hotnitsa village. You reach a crossroad where an indicator is attached that says "Vodopada Eco Trail". Follow the indicator and, somewhere in the field, you come to another bifurcation. To the right, in 300 m, is the waterfall. On the left, climb and reach a plateau where you have a beautiful view of the waterfall gorges.

  • Parking places "in front" of the waterfall Very nice on a sunny spring-day Peaceful spots along a trail in good condition. You can walk about 1 hour, ending on a meadow. Then you can walk the road back, or try the trail again.
