Bexleyheath is a district in the London Borough of Bexley where the council are based. Prior to the Victorian Era it was mostly scrubland. The area was later slowly developed as 'Bexley New Town', with the railway arriving in the 1880 and clock tower in 1912. Today it has a large shopping centre and railway links to London Bridge.
