It is also the administrative capital of the Western Province and the district capital of Colombo District. Colombo is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life, colonial buildings and monuments.

  • PLEASE, DO NOT DELETE MY COMMENT, I AM SERIOUS. Can anyone please explain me why the buildings are not tall in this capital? When I looked at the satellite images i could find find only a couple tall buildings. The rest look small in height. Is it somehow connected with the Sri Lankan Mentality? What is the reason?
