This stadium was partially destroyed by coalition airstrikes between March 21 and July 12, 2016. It was being used by ISIS as an ammunition dump and a supply depot. ISIS has also used a stadium as an ammunition dump in Ramadi, Iraq.


Known as “The Black Stadium” - used as a prison and a location for beheading people
