The AMLU collaborated with Bat Conservation International, Inc., the National Park Service, and the Army Corps of Engineers in the production of another bat gate building workshop. A classroom session was held in Baker, CA, and the hands-on training occurred at the Paymaster Mine in the Mojave National Preserve. Students participated in the construction of one bat gate in a horizontal adit and two bat cupolas on top of hazardous vertical shafts, one of which was over 200 feet deep.
