"Marno Pole" Park (Veliko Tarnovo)

The park is located near the city center and is one of the most popular places for recreation in town of Veliko Tarnovo. In the past there was a medieval settlement here, and today the park is most lively during the weeks in which it becomes the scene of the annual international folklore festival in Veliko Tarnovo.
Here, located on the main alley, is the bust of the hero of the Russo-Turkish War of Liberation (1877-1878), General J.V. Gurko, unveiled in 1957.

  • Marno Field, recently the layer promissed to build a payed parking under der park.
  • Recently was announced, that the hidro-cascade shall be removen soonly :) There existed plenty of water ran and money losss - so the owners came to this hard decision.
