This park is the site of an old landfill that was converted to open area for public use. It was found in 2007 that there were high levels of toxins beginning to seep through the topsoil. It is used by a local secondary school as a playing area for field sports.
The location however is quite nice, and it is safe enough as long as you don't eat the dirt.
