There are some buildings on the edge of what appears to be a grass runway.

  • Definetly an airstrip, although I don't believe the square lakes to the North are older strips. There are roads that go to them, so maybe just marshes for farming of something?
  • I believe this is just an old mining operation that is no longer in use. There are several all over the state that were in use at one time but have since been abandoned. The roads north to Ruby led to the Yukon river which made it easier to haul the loads to the coast.
