  Achencovil Sree Dharma Sastha Temple very much important among the sastha temples.If we visit Kulathoorpuzha temple,Aryankavu temple and Achancovil temple in one day means its equal to visit Sabarimala. Achencovil temple is almost above 950 mtrs height from the sea level.One of the oldest temple in Kerala.Here Lord Ayyappa is in the form of "Grihasthasrami".Lord is sitting along with 'Poorna' and 'Pushkkala',his Two wives.The temple is sorrounded by a big wall,it may to prevent wild animals in entering inside the temple.Achancovil temple is famous for its Ratholsavam.The temple is situated among thick forest.Infront of the temple we can see Achancovil river. Achancovil is in border of Kerala.Its a part of Kollam District.There are mainly Two ways to reach the temple.One is through Punalur-Kumaramkudy-Mullumala and the other is Punalur-Aryankavu-Schenkottai-Mekkara.The first road is in a very bad condition.If we go through the second one means we have to cover around 23 hair pin bends and we have to drive through thick forest.   Lord Ayyappa is considered as 'Nithya Brahmachari' . I happened to hear recently about the achan kovil temple ,where the lord is found along with his two wives. how come is it possible ? I have never heard about the lord's marriage before. Could anybody give a clear explanation regarding this false belief about the lord. The holy shrine of sabarimala is sacred just because of the fact that During all 'MandalaKalam' Malikapurathamma visits saramkuthy to make sure that no' kanny ayyappan' has visited the lord during that period, then only she could be able to marry the lord. Till then it is believed that The lord is a' hardcore Brahmachari ' . how could this be true if the lord is already got married twice? Swamy saranam!! please give an answer.
