Пеклюшки камък (Peklyuk Stone) is a large boulder 60 x 30 m, that rolled from the north west (from near Slivnitsa) at a distance of 40 km during the process of orogenesis millions of years ago. It has planted in the ground on its sharp edge, and now it is a sharp hill about 50 m high. Peklyuk mean "pass" in the local dialect, and probably this comes from the river that transverses the stone in a narrow pass. At a distance of 1/3 from the top there is a cave whose exit is blocked by stones, reached by a narrow path arond the stone. The legend says that in the cave Turkish highway robbers hid a large treasure. Every trespasser looking for the treasure is in danger to lose his head by a mechanism, involving a sword falling from the ceiling of the cave.
