Queensbay Mall opened for business on 1 December 2006. It is currently the largest, longest and most modern shopping mall in Penang with a gross built up of 2.5 million sq. ft and over 1 million sq. ft net lettable area.

The Mall is located in Bayan Lepas, minutes away from the Penang Bridge, the heart of a prime waterfront development sprawling over a land area of 73 acres.

It is the most preferred shopping destination for both the locals and tourists – with 5 levels of retail’ AEON as its anchor tenant with more than 10 junior anchors and 500 retail merchants.

Besides a well-planned tenant mix, shoppers can enjoy the “low rise walk-thru” layout which stretches as far as 500 meters with excellent visibility of the shop façade and merchandizing displays. The facility and amenity signages are meticulously planned to enhance the convenience and comfort of the shoppers.

The overall interior design and lightings are aimed to create a conducive and safe shopping environment for the whole family. Added to the attractions are the integrated entertainment zone on the third floor that provides a wide range of entertainment and leisure attractions ranging form multiplex to roller skating.

Queensbay Mall with its tagline “It’s all happening here!” aptly epitomized the “enriched” lifestyles that Queensbay Mall offers – a place which is vibrant and full of activities, one can shop, play, relax, get together, entertain, be entertained. It is a “family lifestyle mall” of international standard catering to households who are looking for good value for money and the latest in designs and styles.

  • the fate of this shopping complex will end up like Island Plaza very soon because of the bad strategic location. the foods served are not suitable for penangite because of the too expensive price (almost like hotel rate). most of the shops selling too high class/expensive products (same like how Island Plaza did before).
  • end up like island plaza? up till now this place heavily flooded with people especially during weekend, and often the parking lot is full, still end up like island plaza hah?
  • ok ok place .. for me la
  • Disappointed with the interior space layout. although it is not entirely the fault of the developer since they have to make do with an abandon structure, there's definitely space for improvement. constant renovation of the interior space like what gurney plaza management is always doing is the only way to improve the layout according to the shoppers demand. overall, i have to say it is a good shopping mall, especially the south zone of the shopping mall, the north zone seems hostile. like i say, constant improvement, make it the best shopping mall in penang!
  • i love this place cause -_-
  • the toilet is dirty.
  • a very good lunch stop for people who work in Bayan Lepas industrial area. The location is very strategic i think, and with the renovation ard the seaside, it's will be a nice place to hang out also. I like the Border book shop and GSC inside, one of the best cinema in Penang. And one more, i like the sushi from Jusco, consider cheap and delicious :)
  • if they can make a jetty then is better. People from other country can sail to here and shop . haha
  • this the nicest jusco in north malaysia ever...damn like the ambience and maganement there...i'll keep visiting there...+...
  • i like shopping at jusco cause u can find all u need there. the restaurant always flooded with people especially during weekends. Penang is the best!
