The Mansudae Assembly Hall is the seat of civilian legislative government in the DPRK, housing the People's Supreme Assembly (SPA) which is the unicameral legislative assembly of DPRK. It consists of 687 members, called deputies. The Workers' Party of Korea has the majority of votes with 599. The PSA is led by the Presidium and Chairman Kim Yong-Nam, who serves as the DPRK's official Head of State. The SPA studies and passes all general laws in the DPRK. Among other things, this is where the government officially receives diplomatic credentials. It is open to foreign visitors by appointment and when not in session. The Mansuade Assembly Hall hosted the Second North-South Korea summit in October 2007.
