The Emirates airline is building a 6 star resort in Australia at this site. Worldwide there are only a handful of establishments that can boast 6 stars. While Australians fantasize about coastal developments, the Emirates will clearly introduce the average Australian to the beauty of the Australian bush and wilderness that isn't located within a stones throw of the sea!

The particular area chosen by Emirates is amongst the most beautiful area in Australia, and within 2 hours drive from Australia's capital city, Sydney. It is famous worldwide for its rock climbing, and the adjoining Capertee Valley is equally famous amongst bird watchers.

Detailed plans for the resort can be found here: www.cumberlandecology.com.au/
The Emirates website is here: www.emirateshotelsresorts.com/group/en/hotels-and-resor...
And it has already found its way onto the ultimate to do list which wrongly reports the resort as opening at the end of 2008 (actual date projected as 2010) www.theultimatetodolist.com.au/view/321/emirates-wolgan...

  • I can't wait to see how this is going to affect water quality in the (already quite degraded) Wolgan River. And don't get me started on how they're isolating parts of the National Park.
  • So what do you think now anon?
