  • Akacieti is one of the small neighborhoods of the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Burgas. Akacieti is located on the Kumluka sand spit and is surrounded by the Yug industrial zone. To the east of the neighborhood is the port complex and the Black Sea. To the west, the neighborhood borders the ring road to Sozopol and Istanbul and the Burgas Lake. To the north, the neighborhood borders the Burgas River, a tributary of the Burgas Lake, and the Burgas-Sofia railway line with the Vazrazhdane residential complex. To the south, Akacieti borders the Pobeda neighborhood through the Yug industrial zone. The emergence of today's neighborhood is closely related to the development and industrialization of Burgas after the Liberation. Initially, the sand spit was settled by port workers and water carriers who brought water from the "Sladki Kladentsi" area located between the Akacieti and Pobeda neighborhoods. Later, several factories and mills were founded there. The majority of its population were refugees from the Aegean Thrace and Macedonia. With the changes that occurred with the adoption of the Burgas urban development plan of 1926, the settlement was included as a district within the city limits. In the northern part of the district is the sports complex "Chernomorets", with the stadium of the same name, as well as the Vocational High School of Maritime Navigation and Fishing "St. Nikola". In the central part is the Vocational High School of Woodworking and the small park "Acacias". In its southern end is the Burgas Prison at 88, "Industrialna" Street.
