  Dolno Ezerovo is a district of the Black Sea city of Burgas. The district is located 8 km from the center of Burgas. It is located north of the Burgas Lake, which separates the district from Gorno Ezerovo. History After the Inter-Allied War in 1913, 90 Bulgarian families from the village of Tarfa and 50 from Kavakliya, Eastern Thrace settled in the Vayaköy area. In August 1934, Vayaköy was renamed Dolno Ezerovo. The population of Dolno Ezerovo as of 2011 is about six thousand inhabitants. Since 22.08.1991, Dolno Ezerovo became a district of the city of Burgas. In its western part is the "Vaya" protected area with the most extensive reed beds in Bulgaria. Here operates the Ecopark for Biodiversity and Alternative Tourism "Vaya", dedicated to preserving natural resources, changing attitudes towards protected areas and raising awareness of the opportunities, benefits and responsibilities for the protection of biodiversity in the Republic of Bulgaria. Here is a kindergarten (ODZ "Koledarche"), a school up to the 7th grade (OS "Hristo Botev"), a community center and a church built in 2005. In 2010/11, a sewage system and a pumping station were built in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is connected to the country's railway network through the Dolno Ezerovo railway station.
