Constructed in 1958, this building (formerly National Bank of Detroit) was designed by the world-renowned architectural firm of Albert Kahn and Associated Architects and Engineers. Modern in concept and design, the Chase building sits in harmony with neighboring buildings. The underfloor system of electrical, communication and data ducts is as up-to-date as many buildings being constructed today. The arrangement of windows and porcelain-enameled panels, alternating with marble panels, creates a tapestry like effect. This appearance has been compared to that of a treasure chest.
