Home of the Washington DC Federal Control Board, 1994-1998.
Built in 1870, this Lutheran church played a key role in the restoration of the 14th Street NW corridor after the riots of 1968. Statues of Martin Luther and Civil War General Thomas (on horseback) in front of the church at 14th and Thomas Circle NW. Homeless Activist Mitch Snyder (Portrayed by actor Martin Sheen in the movie The Mitch Snyder Story) is buried in front of the church.
