Amazing gardens, English, French, Italian, Chinese herb garden. Many fountains and hidden statues. A small museum of pre-Columbian gold designed by Philip Johnson. Don't miss The Assumption of the Virgin by El Greco in the music room of the main house. Rudolph Valentino was a gardener here. Just up from Rock Creek is a brick vault which was used as a stop on the Underground Railroad.
