Gibson Lake

The 3,000 acre cooling lake for Duke Energy's Gibson Generating Station. As of March 2007, it is currently closed to fishing due to concerns of elevated levels of selliniun in the fish. It was open from 1978 to March 2007. In the past the lake had some pretty large species of Bass, Carp, Bluegill, and several forms of Catfish. Gibson lake may very well be reopened in 2008.
