  • Area of Peenemunde where the V2 rockets were launched from.
  • The "place where rockets were launched from" is the almost hidden test stand VII on the top right of this frame. The circle was an engine test stand. Interestingly the British also thought the circle important and dropped many bombs there - all onto a piece of earth!
  • intended further Teststand - not finished and never in use
  • I am just back from there! i have just toured Germany. As an amateur Historian I found this place quite hauntingly fascinating! The place is only accessed by a local beekeeper who has beehives there now! It is overgrown slightly and it not signposted!
