Marian Batterman Residence (Matinecock, New York)

Residence built for the daughter of Henry Lewis Batterman, Sr.{dept. stores}, Marian Bullock (nee Batterman) c. 1927 Federal by Chester Patterson. The daughter never lived in the house and it remained empty into the 1950s. She instead moved into "Meadowspring" in Glen Cove after marrying Horace Ridgley Bullock. The house, contrary to some reports, still remains with its outbuildings.
