A Big Pukka Well is Located on this Mound which is known as "Samudrakupa". It is traditionally associated with Gupta King "Samudragupta". It is said that this well is connected with sea. The recent excavations by Allahabad University at the Samudrakupa mound have yielded antiquarian remains ranging in date from Chalcolithic to early medieval period through pre-NBPW,NBPW, Sunga-Kushan and Gupta Periods.
