residence, LIGC - Long Island Gold Coast
Residence built in the Colonial Revival style for Russell Doubleday {publisher}. Doubleday was vice president and secretary of Doubleday & Co. of Garden City publishers and a relative of the founders. The estate was a part of the Meadow Spring at Glen Cove development founded by Harrie T. Lindeberg but was likely not a work of his. By 1948, the family had moved to "Spring Meadow" in Glen Cove.
