  • Yah sure, 25 yards. In 1965 we had targets all the way out to the coastal dunes. One day the Range sergeants screamed Cease Fire. A little girl had wandered away from her parents and up the beach then over the dunes into our lines of fire. An officer of sergeant drove down and secured her. We were done for the day as he had orders to go back over the dunes with her and return her to her famnily. WE were assured of this as it is a soldiers duty to protect little children, not shoot them.
