At $165 million, the most expensive house on the market in the United States. Located 3 blocks north of the Beverly Hills Hotel on approx 6.25 acres of land and approx 75,000 sf of living space of all structures. Formerly owned by William Randolph Hearst and Marion Davies, Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy honeymooned there.

Also the garden scenes at 'Jack's House' in the 1985 film 'Into The Night' starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Jeff Goldblum were filmed here. Scenes from 'The Bodyguard' and 'Topaz' were filmed here too. Exterior shots of the front and rear of the house were filmed here for the classic movie "The Godfather" standing in as the Wertz residence (the guy with the horse head in his bed).

  • Originally built for Milton Getz{VP Union Bank and Trust} c. 1926 by Gordon B. Kaufman{La Collina} at a cost of $1,000.000.00 in 1920's dollars. Marion Davies got the bargin of the decade{1946} when she paid $120,000! House renamed Beverly House. Hearst needed to be in the city because of declining health leaving San Simeon for the last time may 2, 1947. He died August 14, 1951. Marion Davies had purchased 1501 Lexington Road, but Hearst found the place "cramped". This lead her to purchase this estate. In a mean twist of fate Marion deeded 1501 Lexington Road to Hearst to maintain the fiction that they weren't living together. When he died the Hearst Corp. demolished the home.
