  • That's interesting, in the middle of the city!
  • Also the film "There Will Be Blood" - this field was the true historical site, and Edward Doheny was the original villianous star character.
  • It's true that Plainview was in part inspired by Doheny, but the two men are/were nothing alike. Doheny was not villainous in any way, shape or form. He was a decent man.
