NRG Stadium (formerly Reliant Stadium until 2004) is a 71,500-seat retractible-roof multipurpose stadium located at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas. Opened in 2002, It is the permanent home of the National Football League's Houston Texans and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The stadium also served as the venue for the NFL's Super Bowl XXXVIII on February 1, 2004 and Super Bowl LI on February 5, 2017.
